After reading the reports about Fortune going to Hull I'm not convinced that the deal is set in concrete. Surely he will speak to the other {apparently) interested clubs first. This one would really piss the Baggies off though.

Whahahahahahahahaaaaa I almost spat my coffee all over my monitor hahaha... Yes, I'm getting worried, 24th today, the clock is ticking and there's bugger all in concrete, having said that I've been watching the movements at the other clubs and I reckon birmingham and Burnley are in a similar boat at this point in time, but yeah would like to see some of the coin getting flashed about, 30 million pound was promised originally when the club ownership was transferred wasn't it?? if so where is it!! At the end of the day I have my doubts as to whether the gaffer is up to the premier league?? but he'll be well rogered if he can't get the right recruits in! Darrell: don't forget your raincoat! Well that's another one off the radar, and when Doyle signs for Fulham, and Milijas fails to get his work permit, we will be welcoming the same squad as last year plus a journeyman keeper Funny, I thought we were armed with millions and were going to make a right good go of staying up this year...PAH! This is 2003 all over again, we can't hope to compete without major re-structuring of the team. Our defence is a colander , and will result in immediate relegation All of the latest transfer rumours were sweet talk at the same time as season tickets went on general sale Typical Wolves , talk the talk, but can't walk the walk At this rate, we will make Derby's 11 points look creditable Even the bloody hotel is surrounded by building works , and we are double booked when we get there That's if Qantas don't cancel the flights in the first place Happy days PS I bet it pisses down on Friday night at the game ( I presume there is no cover?) -----Original Message----- From: Marcus Chantry [mailto:marcus.chan...@macquarie.com] Sent: Wednesday, 24 June 2009 10:45 AM To: Andy Fellows; Darrell Yates; Duncan McLean; Elliot Dale; Graeme Fitzsimmons; Jeremy Thake; Jess Panni; lee.mor...@defence.gov.au; les.ll...@veoliawater.com; Mark; Michael Lewis; nswolves@googlegroups.com; Parma Juss; Paul Johnson; Steve Lewis; Tony Slater; Trevor Jones; Wayne Pannell; xtremefloorcoveri...@hotmail.com Subject: Another one gone... BREAKING NEWS: City land Fortune! By CI Reporter - 24/06/2009 01:05 It appears that Hull City have won the race ahead of a clutch of English and Scottish Premier League clubs to sign French striker Marc-Antoine Fortune... Sources close to City Independent believe Hull City have won the race to sign AS Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune and the forward is set to complete a brand new deal with the Tigers within the next 24 hours. City had been facing stiff opposition for the centre forward from Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderes, Glasgow Celtic and Portsmouth, but reports are now indicating that Phil Brown has captured the former West Bromwich Albion loanee and the striker will become Hull City's first signing of the summer. Fortune impressed last season in the Premier League when scoring 5 times for beleaguered West Bromwich Albion in 17 appearances, after making his debut on 17th January for the Baggies in a home match against Middlesbrough, which Fortune scored to record a 3-1 victory. Now, City Independent expect reports to break later today confirming Marc-Antoine Fortune will complete his switch to Hull City instead of the other interested parties by signing a 3 year deal worth £25,000 a week.
