Hi all,

I am trying to support read/write on ntfs drive for my linux with
2.6.8.1 kernel. However, using latest fuse and ntfs-3g 2009.4.4, I
always get hanged when perform "ls" on ntfs drive.

ntfs-3g website says one Q&A item below:

> Why do I get “WARNING: Deficient Linux kernel detected”?
>
> The message means that you have an old and unsafe Linux kernel which is prone

> version 2.6.9 and later."

However, due to driver problem, I have to stick to 2.6.8.1 kernel. So,
is it possible to support ntfs-3g under 2.6.8.1 kernel? If it is
possible, which fuse and ntfs-3g version shall I use? And is there any
special handling shall I take care of?

Thanks
Weihua
