This is unusual, so far all the 3TB drives I have heard of
have 4K sectors. As a consequence in your case the number
of sectors does not fit into a 32-bit word.

I have a 4 TB drive with 512 B sectors (native, not emulated). So they definitely exist (the model number for this drive is ST4000NM0033).
