Romain, I was wrong. The following sample shows different results with LuaTeX and LMTX (current latest from 2025.09.25 18:46): \setcharacterspacing[frenchpunctuation] \starttext \startTEXpage[offset=5mm, pagestate=start, width=6em] \hsize\zeropoint Voil: \| Voil : \| Voil? \| Voil ? \| Voil! \| Voil ! \| Voil; \| Voil ; \| \stopTEXpage \stoptext BTW, is "¿" even used in French? (I thought it was only in Spanish and some versions of Galician.) Hans, since LMTX seems to be misbehaving, could you take a look at this? Many thanks for your help, Pablo ___________________________________________________________________________________ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : [email protected] / https://mailman.ntg.nl/mailman3/lists/ntg-context.ntg.nl webpage : https://www.pragma-ade.nl / https://context.aanhet.net (mirror) archive : https://github.com/contextgarden/context wiki : https://wiki.contextgarden.net ___________________________________________________________________________________
