There is a basic highlight plugin
<https://tiddlywiki.com/plugins/tiddlywiki/highlight/> but yes, this is
one side of Tiddlywiki that is still lacking.

For what it's worth, I have built my own with Tiddlywiki <https://
tiddlywiki.com/>. It is not really for the public, in the sense that
it deals with our own small publishing firm so contains a lot of
references that are specific to them, I have found Tiddlywiki really
excellent for this sort of thing, i.e. private offline use,
especially lately when it has been very difficult to quickly access
the main ConTeXt wiki.
While I love TiddlyWiki as desktop database for my book research, I
would probably miss syntax highlighting and example compilation for
ConTeXt. Or do you have a plugin for that?
For public information, I don’t like that TiddlyWiki is one big
JavaScript file. (Lately, there seems to be a multi-file version.)
