Many thanks for your reply, Hans.

It is good to know the engine method.

BTW, with patterns I’m experiencing two things I don’t understand:

    \setupbodyfont[dejavu]
    \startpatterns[agr]
    2γ1μ
    \stoppatterns
    \startpatterns
    2γ1μ
    \stoppatterns
    \setuplanguage[en][patterns={en, agr}]
    \mainlanguage[agr]
    \startexceptions[agr]
    ἄπ-αντας % I know it’s stupid
    \stopexceptions
    \startexceptions%[en]
    ἄπ-αντας
    \stopexceptions
    \starttext
    \startTEXpage[offset=1em]
    \hyphenatedword{πράγματα}\\
    {\en\hyphenatedword{πράγματα}}\\
    \hyphenatedword{ἄπαντας}\\
    {\en\hyphenatedword{ἄπαντας}}\\
    \stopTEXpage
    \stoptext

1. \startpatterns need to be defined for both English (or the default
language) and ancient Greek (although English is setup to load ancient
Greek patterns).

2. \startexceptions need to be defined for both English and ancient
Greek (the default language doesn’t seem to work here).

3. \startpatterns need to be defined before setup and main language
(\startexceptions don’t seem to ned it).

Are these expected behaviors or am I missing something here?

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo
