Hi Kirk,

I used plain TeX for about 35 years before giving ConTeXt a try. And while
I am still far from a ConTeXt expert, I can make a couple of suggestions
which might help.

There is a "famous" document called "A Not So Short Introduction to
ConTeXt" ("ANSS") which was written for ConTeXt Mark IV. The latest &
greatest ConTeXt is ConTeXt LMTX, and in a moment of utter indiscretion I
started updating ANSS to ANSS-CE. The latter is found at
        https://codeberg.org/anss-ce/ANSS-CE/

The English version is the only language to receive updates for LMTX (so
far), so even if you prefer another language, those haven't been updated.

While the book does not (yet, anyway) explicitly talk about Glossaries,
perhaps the information you seek can be teased out of Chapter 8 in that
book. (Chapter 8 deals with creating lists of things, and I suppose a
Glossary is just another kind of list.)

Or maybe someone with a considerably better grasp of available
documentation can point you at something more immediately applicable.

Good luck.

                                Jim
