Firstly I upgraded Nixos to the latest stable 'channel' (version for the rest
of us) : 26.05
I then installed just the ConTeXt bits from TeXLive:
$ nix-shell -p texliveConText
and got ConTeXt version 2026.02.19 11.49.
As expected, the source tree was entirely hidden.
