Now I will add to the wiki the procedure I described, which you followed, but we have to find a way for people to get a zip file containing a complete tree of LuaMetaTeX which can be installed « by hand » under MacOS 10.15 Catalina. Maybe Hans or Mojca have a suggestion in this regard.
