Good question on single/dual.  For our purposes we want as many CPUs as
possible
to balance the user-space load, ie multiple snort processes.  That said
we
still are challenged to keep the system busy, but for now that isn't a
bad
thing.  FYI we built our system in the states for about 5K or so, with
SATA
drives.  If anyone would like the parts list, happy to provide.  Cheap
way to
explore the options.
