Hello all...
Thanks to Luca for the explanation/clarification of transparent_mode.
I've noticed on my system that the (modified) NIC driver is loaded
before pf_ring - and if using transparent_mode then the NIC sees nothing.
My workaround has been:
rmmod e1000e
modprobe pf_ring transparent_mode=2
modprobe e1000e
in a startup script to insmod the NIC driver after pf_ring.
Is this normal - how are other people setting up their systems
before then running PF_RING aware applications?
