There's some registers you can peek at, and poke, if you really wanted too,
have a look at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01185.html though
you need to set up values for your exact machine/chipset, tho' I won't admit to
making this work exactly as advertised, it may help....since you could compare
with a working and older non working driver.

Subject: Re: [Ntop-misc] ixgbe and DCA

We have it enabled in the BIOS. I doubt that ioatdma and dca would get loaded
if we hadn't!

I think there's probably a bug with the older ixgbe drivers (and possibly the
kernel). As I said, I don't get the DCA error message with
ixgbe-3.3.9 and later, though I'm not sure how I can prove that DCA is working.

Unfortunately, patching ixgbe-3.6.7 is a bit beyond me, I think, as quite a bit
seems to have changed and getting the FlowDirector stuff in would be hard. (I
did patch the latest e1000e-1.6.3 successfully, but that's comparatively
simple!)

Unfortunately I can't test live traffic at the moment as we've had to disable
our 10GB port mirrors due to a switch problem which we're waiting on our
suppliers to solve.

Best Wishes,
Chris
