We've been currently using Intel X520 cards for most of our fiber based
DNA operations but have recently ran into problems around the
flexibility of these solutions when using copper SFP's.
I see PF_RING supports "Silicom" cards, has anyone any experience of
these (what is European availability like)? Are there any other cards we
should look at?
We need cards that support 1/10Gb SR/LR but can also handle copper SFP
modules (Intel "do" support them but only at 1000BASE-T, meaning they
don't auto negotiate or 10/100 operations)
