Luke, Although initially I had some issues with the card and pf_ring zc, we went with the XL710 based chipset. This is the new generation from Intel which offers some nice features. For instance it supports PCI-e v3 and offers up to 40Gbit options. Mine came with SFP+ ports so I had the flexibility to choose whatever media. Mine are SuperMicro branded but are the Intel XL710 chipset.
