Hi

Sorry to bump this Luca but I know that there are a few of us in the
Ubiquiti Community that would like to try a native nprobe on the
Edgerouter.

Hi Luca

Thanks for your reply.

Do we have to buy a license to get the source? Or is there a source for
the demo version that we can try to get to compile on the Edge Router
first to see if it works?

Or should we give you an Edge Router so you can produce a demo version
for the Ubiquiti Community?

Mark,

I do not own an ER but if I remember correctly when I had the chance to
put my hands on it, it was compiling. It's a Linux Debian

This said, do not think nProbe as a flow converter but imagine it as a
better probe. Standard probes export only info based on packet headers,
whereas nprobe can give you great visibility for URLs, application
protocols (nDPI) and much more. That's why I would run nProbe on the ER
as probe+ntopng feeder but not as collector for the embedded one

It shouldn't be too hard to get nprobe running on it.

Can you take a look at this thread?

http://community.ubnt.com/t5/EdgeMAX/Netflow-data-from-EdgeRouter-POE-to
-ntopng/m-p/595663#U595663

Have you built nprobe for the Edgerouter at all?

Is there any chance that we could have a demo build for this platform so
that it could be tested prior to license purchase?

We all seem to be having a problem with using netflow > nprobe > ntopng

I believe if we had a native nprobe it may resolve the issues that we
are experiencing

Many Thanks

Mark
