So it's -i, as expected.  With netFlow active, ntop will NOT merge the
interfaces.

That means that running -i eth0,eth1,eth2 will create three instances of the
device[] structures, while running without -i will create only one and
monitor only the one interface.

Next step is dependent upon the trace when it dies...  You will almost
certainly need to run under gdb - see the entry at http://snapshot.ntop.org
on what to do & how...
