Don't think I blasted him at all. I did want him to move to ntop-dev, because I didn't know - nobody did - that the 3rd pass was going to be the last.
However, in response to his first problem, I gave him the general instructions on how to fix this and told him he was going to have to do the work. He fixed the first problem using my info and came right back to the list with the second problem. All I could see was an endless progression - again, who know that the next fix would be the last? So I reminded him that he was going to have to do the work. Now, having worked through the task, the responsibility still sits on his shoulders to package the work such that others can benefit. That means: 1. The patch file (diff all the source files that were changed using diff -U3) 2. Any compile flags, libraries (Makefile type changes) need to be packaged into a configureextra/irix module. 3. He needs to provide the linuxrelease data (yeah, it's badly named, but cvs doesn't like it when you change module names), so we can ensure that linuxrelease properly IDs Irix, so that the configureextra stuff will work. Send it all to me and I'll be happy to look it over and add it into the cvs so everyone can benefit. -----Burton > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mike > Hunter > Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2004 4:23 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [Ntop] ntop Irix (was: NetFlow collect) > > > On Apr 07, "Burton M.
