Simple sFlow Config for FastIron looks like this in global config: sflow enable sflow destination 10.12.21.250
Where 10.12.21.250 is the collector (ntop) address. Default sampling rate is 1 in 512 packets and can be set either globally or per interface. Counter polling interval can also be set globally. See Foundry CLI reference. On each interface you want to use sFlow on, just issue the "sflow-forwarding" command. See Foundry's website and sflow.org for sFlow concepts, etc. The big "gotcha" is that you have to pick one or the other: port mirroring and sflow cannot be simultaneously enabled on a switch. :-( C -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Holmes Sent: Wednesday, October 13, 2004 11:20 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Ntop] Question (probably dumb) from a new user Great, I'm investigating how to turn the sflow stuff on right now, and once I get that done, I'm gonna look at getting that set up TIM TimHolmes IT Manager Medina Christian Academy, Inc.
