Hello,
I have been trying to place ntop in daemon mode. Everything appears to work fine, however when I do this it appears that the webserver freezes. No message are placed in the syslog facility. Netstat reports that the port is open for listening and the process "ntop" is running. Any suggestions on why this is? When I take the daemon switch off, ntop works fine reporting all stats needed.

Here is the current config file that I'm using....

--access-log-file /home/ntopwatch/access.log

--track-local-hosts

--local-subnets "<MYSUBNETS LISTED>"

--trace-level 5

-4

-L

--interface "eth1,eth2"

--no-interface-merge

-P /home/ntopwatch

--no-mac

--no-promiscuous

--user ntopwatch

-w <MACHINE ADDRESS>:3000

-W 0

--no-fc

--no-invalid-lun

--ssl-watchdog

--w3c

--domain <MYDOMAIN>

When I use this configuration file I execute as the root user the following command ntop @/etc/ntop.conf

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
