Then it's likely the preNTPL deadlock problem - search the back traffic -
we've posted instructions on how to figure out what 'version' ./configure is
seeing and how to set the flag in the appropriate configureextra file.  Look
for FORPRENPTL...

The version that I have is the very latest downloaded from cvs.  The current
platform that I'm running on is Slackware 9.1.
