Cisco has a bunch of documentation about netFlow, after all they originated it.  That's a good place to start.

Subject: [Ntop] setup

Hey guys,

I am just trying to install ntop and experiment with it.  Well my network for example looks like this.

1) I have a PC which has ntop installed on it which is then connected to a switch.
2) The switch is connected to two routers which support netflow and each have a host connected to it.

Well what I want to do for a basic understaning is send a ping to one host to the other and view the graphical analysis using ntop.

However, I am only concerned with one problem that is how would I use a plugin of netflow into the ntop software.  Like how would it extract the netflows going through both of those routers.

If any one can help me with this that would be great.
Also burton thanks for helping with the last question I had posted.

Sincerily,

teji
