To my knowledge nTop does not have a "plugin" to perform notifications when certain thresholds are exceeded. Since this is all open source it shouldn't be all that difficult to implement some type of notification engine. There was talk of an SNMP plugin, but I have not looked into that. I was planning on tweaking the source a little to send events based on the "Host Flags". For example, when a host exceeds n number of connections in x time, send me a message so I can investigate.
Yes - you should be able to graph any host that nTop has visibility on. I am not able to find a feature which is very important to us. Does Ntop implementing administrator alerts or notifications such as thresholds, or monitoring server and tell when its down? It seems possible to create graph for any host in the network but i have a RRD error building the graph so i'm not sure of this information. do you confirm? Thanks a lot for your help, forgive me if its already written somewhere... I checked the website, the doc and the Ntop web interface, i wasn't able to find anything on it. Have a good day K. _______________________________________________ Ntop mailing list [email protected] http://listgateway.unipi.it/mailman/listinfo/ntop =========================================================================== "This email is intended to be reviewed by only the intended recipient and may contain information that is privileged and/or confidential.
