I've had issues with Cheyenne. I was running it in the past and after
converting from Novell to Windows I ran McAfee and while transferring
files from the old server to the new server I found about 450 virus that
Cheyenne had failed to catch.

I'm afraid that I can't decipher anything between the "$1,400" and the
"Any
opinions..."
I've worked with quite a few and I personally like Cheyenne's the best.
It
doesn't really matter whose you buy, you're going to get basically the
same
coverage. Just make sure you keep the definitions on your server up to
date.

Subject: Opinions on anti-virus software...

I'm attempting to make a final decision on anti-virus software for our
network. We're running NT 4 SP6a to include IIS, Exchange etc. I am
looking
at Symantec software for the overall network. We're talking about $1,400
to
purchase and being an admin for a city government network that's a whole
lot of money. Any opinions good, bad, or indifferent. Please let me
know.
