Dave,

Very true, but using L2TP with IPSec will get you a very good level of security.  I guess I didn't finish the thought last time.

I thought L2TP isn't encrypted where PPTP is.  Is that true?

Daniel,

Wouldn't your VPN traffic have greater security using L2TP instead of PPTP?

Our company switched 2 offices from Frame over to VPN.  We are currently using MS RRAS for our solution utitilizing PPTP.  It went over really well and the speed is better than it used to be.  Took a couple of days to sort out all the routing issues but that was it.  I recommend it.  Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Subject: VPN's

Hi everybody,

Very general question. My company is interested in changing from Frame Relay to VPN. It looks very interesting to us, especially since you can save quite a bit of money with it, but ....

Who has made experiences with VPN's, good ones or bad ones. What about security, bandwidth, reliability etc. Am interested in any information.

Thanks.
