I can't say this enough.  Compaq drivers conflict with ms drivers.  they are
different.  after you run an ms service patch or sp DON'T REBOOT. run the
Compaq "SSD" and update your Compaq drivers then reboot.  THIS IS THE BOTTOM
LINE. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME CALL COMPAQ OR YOUR LOCAL COMPAQ ASE.
