Did
you change the jobs at all? If you are backing up what you believe to be a
differential with a full backup, that will add to time. Open the edit job
option and look at the type of backup you're running under the General
tab. Also, network throughput may affect the time it takes, so another
network task running at the same time could be slowing you down. Another
reason might be if you are verifying after you complete the backup, that doubles
the time as well.

Subject: Backup SlowHello, we backup our servers with a Dell DLT 7000 7 Slot Tape Drive, using Veritas Backup Exec. Ver. 8. For some strange reason it is taking double the amount of time to backup than it used to. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
