The "original" Visio had  network discovery baked in. MS removed that a
version or two after they bought it and I believe that is what became the
Fluke network inspector.

I recently have a bigger need to do network diagramming. I recently
installed Visio 2010 premium on my notebook. I don't see any new features
regarding discovery that populates Visio and I have a need for that too.
