Ta, The problem is, I am just in the throws of installing IBM client access V7R1 and I installed the MS products (.net framework and C++ 2005 redistributable) without changing the mode.(basically assuming if it is a MSproduct it should know about TS/RDS) I then installed the IBM product (I use the control panel/programs/install application on desktop process) and it just never finishes (the windows installer co-ordinator never completes) and a few errors in the event log Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\Client Access\cwbunnav.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.4053" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis
Uninstalling the MS products and reinstalling them has made the errors go away, but will the co-ordinator wont complete (we are talking waiting an hour or so before cancelling the install) The thing is , the .net product will get its updates via auto update (as may the C++ product) and will windows update install the updates TS/RDS aware??? who knows....
