IMHO - the only issue is that you need to have more than one DC and they need to be hosted on more than one physical server. THE MAJOR CHALLENGE is that, in the case of a "datacenter reboot" or "datacenter shutdown" followed by a "datacenter power-up", restoring service can be a bit challenging.
