The backup server is a physical box with tons of SATA storage.and VEEAM is running there. It grabs the images of the dozen or so virtual servers from the iSCSI SAN and then we backup the backup server to LTO-5 tape for offsite storage on a weekly basis. We're hoping for MGMT buy-in to do offsite replication sometime next year but the data pipe isn't sufficient we're stuck with tape for now.
