But with lower CPU intensity comes lesser detection. See the virusbtn RAP chart. MSSE has not been in the same league with the other well-known names (the well known names that score well) for a while. It's stayed in the same general spot while the others have improved. However, I'd take it MSSE in a heartbeat over McAfee or Norton. While it's limited in features, it does stop malware and spyware, and updates happen with Windows Update.
