At the time, there were a lot of people that were scared of computers, so it was an honest attempt to make something extremely friendly to people with no concept of what they were doing.
But gawd, it was awful. I dont know a single person that could stand to use it. Even those that found it amusing for the first 5 minutes became quickly sick of it.
