At one of my last gigs, they used it for backup circuits. I wasn't involved in it but, never heard the Network Team complain about it.

The pricing is very affordable (e.g., $370/month for 100 Mbps). It almost seems too good to be true, in fact. I realize that with cable Internet you're sharing a pipe with others. Although that's true of every method of accessing the Internet; at some point up the chain, you end up sharing bandwidth. I guess with cable Internet the sharing just ends up happening closer to home. Is this a concern related to performance, or security? How about reliability? Is cable Internet considered to be less reliable than "traditional" connections (T1, etc.) provided by telcos? I have Comcast Internet at home, and it has been pretty reliable for me.
