You apparantly live in a specific part of the country and only watch, listen
to, or read specific news sources.

If you pay attention to a wider slice of the news, its sources, and public
opinion; the country is currently quite polarized.  This all goes way
offtopic and is not fun for all - so I asked you nicely to refrain.
