This reminds me that we had a similar-ish issue with IBM xSeries - it wouldn't recognize a USB floppy that was a generic brand, but it did recognize a Lenovo brand USB floppy...

Just because it recognizes the Drive in the Bios you will still need to change the appropriate setting in the Bios to allow it to use the USB Floppy. We have also used a USB thumb wheel which we formated to look like a Floppy Drive, and same result. Unfortunately, Windows Server 2K3 will only look for the Hard drive drivers on a "floppy" disk. We have a HP Proliant ML110 and were trying to set up a raid. Any ideas on how to get around the floppy issue?
