Most of the incompatibilities I have seen have been related to IE8 - the Google Toolbar, for one.
In all honestly I would focus on programs that needed to be updated to work with IE7 - if they are sensitive to the web browser release on the machine, and you're testing a newer OS with a newer web browser...
