There's a newer version of ROBOCOPY available, even for XP/2000. Version ID is "XP026". It adds the /DCOPY (Directory Copy) switch, among several other things. Annoyingly, Microsoft only distributes it within the the "Robocopy GUI" package from a "Utility Spotlight" article for TechNet Magazine. (How's *THAT* for a distribution channel?) It's still a freebie, though. And you don't need the Robocopy GUI to use it. The original URL is: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2006.11.utilityspotlight.aspx If you don't care about directory timestamps, then the ROBOCOPY from a Resource Kit should be okay, I think. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
