  There's a newer version of ROBOCOPY available, even for XP/2000.
Version ID is "XP026".  It adds the /DCOPY (Directory Copy) switch,
among several other things.

  Annoyingly, Microsoft only distributes it within the the "Robocopy
GUI" package from a "Utility Spotlight" article for TechNet Magazine.
(How's *THAT* for a distribution channel?)  It's still a freebie,
though.  And you don't need the Robocopy GUI to use it.  The original

  If you don't care about directory timestamps, then the ROBOCOPY from
a Resource Kit should be okay, I think.
