It's not hard to install the Dell tools. Did you by any chance get a "resource" CD with the machine? If not I'm pretty sure you can download the individual utils direct from Dell. You might want to make sure you download the drivers for NIC and HDD/CD/DVD first and have 'em available on something you can get 'em from in case Windows doesn't have the drivers built in. But you probably already thought of that. :-)
