I doubt that it is the same application as I found...

It is possible that it isn't a Vista vs Win7 issue but rahter a 32-bit vs 
64-bit issue.  My DeLorme GPS and Topo 7 combination had worked fine on my 
(32-bit) Vista system.  On my (64-bit) Win7, the OS will not even 
acknowledge that anything is plugged into the UPS slots.  DeLorme has 
confirmed this, which they say is one reason they developed Topo 8.  They 
did not say that it was a problem with 64-bit systems but rather with Win7 
itself.
