+1 They are (and should be) easy compared to a Cisco or M$ cert; as Erik 
stated, they are good for a baseline. Also, keep in mind that since CompTIA is 
vendor-neutral, they can't go to the granularity that a vendor specific exam 
tends to cover.

they are good for a minimum baseline ... I wouldn't ever consider one of these 
certs alone as any significant expertise, but along with work experience helps 
to show a base level of competency at least.  For the cost of a self-study book 
and the test, probably worth it, but if you need a class, or series of classes 
to pass, then maybe not.

What is the group's opinions about the value of these?  I did the sample 
questions for A+, security, network and server.  Frankly, I found them to be 
relatively easy compared to a Cisco cert.
