I do remember playing with Windows and Windows 2, before we even got to Windows 3. And my first Computer was the TRS-80 with 4K of Ram, no floppies and for storage you had a cassette tape drive.

My *second* computer was a true-blue IBM PC with an integrated VGA monitor. It was running MS Dos 5, I think and came with Windows 3, as best I recall. I don't think *anyone* even remembers Windows 3 these days... Not Windows 386, MS Windows 3. :) [cid:image001.jpg@01CAB947.B2709660][cid:image002....@01cab947.b2709660] From: Raper, Jonathan - Eagle [mailto:jra...@eaglemds.com] Sent: Monday, March 01, 2010 2:38 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: CompTIA certs I didn't have the money for the co-processor on my 386 SX 16 MHz with 2 Megs (Upgraded to 4) and a 120 Meg HDD... An example question he gave me was, " You are working in a company's Payroll department and notice some confidential papers on the desk. What do you do?" It wasn't like that when I took it. I started with A+, Network+, and I-Net+ just to get some (relatively) easy letters after my name. That was a few years ago, and hopefully the A+ exam in particular has changed. I had been building and repairing computers for years when I took it, but still had to study a fair amount because I found that the exam wasn't quite aligned with the real world. Which I guess can be said of most exams.
