Sounds like there are some issues related to converting your key. I'll wait
until those are settled before I try to upgrade. It could be as simple as
needing to "convert" your key (had to do that on AVG when we upgraded from
7.5 to 8.x and the reseller had to get our key converted for us.) I'm hoping
Sunbelt/Vipre will have a form for us to convert our key to the new version
sometime soon.

Sounds horrid. On top of all my other issues I have to sort out, the Vipre
upgrade is getting put on the backburner for the moment. I'd be grateful if
you could keep us posted on resolutions.

Cheers,

Apparently not "completely screwed", but:

1. I cannot push out any updates or deploy new agents. (Creating an MSI and
running it on the machine to which you wish to install seems to work - my
desktop machine appears to be protected again.) As rebooting is necessary,
I needed to turn off the "auto check for updates" in all my policies. I
will probably need to create a new policy which has the auto check enabled,
move some systems into that policy, and see what happens.

One other thing - when trying to deploy, V3.1 had a progress indicator.
When finished, it displayed either "Success" or "Fail". This seems to be
gone from V4.

2. I am currently needing to work off the server console. In previous VIPRE
versions, I could install the console on my desktop machine, point it to the
VIPRE server, and then I could manage everything from there. No such luck
with V4! I simply cannot connect to the "site database", the server, or
much of anything else.

3. I do not have a "spare" copy of R2. My server, which was fine for V3.1
(2 Gb RAM) is painfully slow to do much of anything. The slowness could be
related to either or both of these.

I've been using the beta versions of Home Premium since November, and it has
been pretty sweet! This "Enterprise" version, though, :-@
