Well, one thing you can do is get a Google Voice number now, and when they get
numbers available in your area, you can pay the $10 one-time fee to change the
number. Unfortunately, they don’t appear to have any numbers in my area, and
I’m in the largest “metropolitan” area in North-West Georgia. L

I'm using Google Voice. I live in the 812 area code, but have a 502 area code
for Google Voice. But, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that you could
have multiple accounts in Google Voice? Up to five, if I remember. I can't see
why you couldn't setup your phone numbers to access the same cell or land line.

Except that people calling you may have to dial a long-distance number
to reach you - even if they're next door. That's why we never bothered
with any of those services for our Honolulu office - our Hawaii clients
don't want to have to dial an 815 number (or whatever) to reach us and
it gives them the perception that you're not a local company; which may
be off-putting to some.
