And how often has that happened?  Compared to say .. AV products?  Human
perception of risk is generally poor.  Evidence and statistics are your
friend.  Testing and release control are there to save your job ;o)

AU doesn't mean connect to the Internet and get patches whenever you
fancy.  WSUS is free too - all the tools are there for you to use if you
wish to.  Do half a job with anything and you'll get poor results ..

One other thing -- for MSE to work and update, "Automatic Updates" have
to be completely enabled.  I don't do this for work PCs as I don't want
an entire company to go down when MS pushes out a bad update.
