The virtual registry can still be accessed, so maybe malware could exploit the app, write itself there and then only run when the streamed app was launched?

I've never gotten around to deploying App-v. Seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors to me, but I admit I used to feel the same way about MOM. :-) Therefore I start off by admitting ignorance (and saying that the documentation overview of "this is what it does and how it does it" is pretty poor). I don't question your answer. I just don't understand it. I thought the sandbox that App-v built around the streamed application was supposed to virtualize everything that the application did/used? Is that not true? Regards, Michael B. Or does the streaming somehow insulate the process? My gut instinct says it can still be exploited, maybe someone can provide a little irrefutable clarity.
