I guess my bigger question is, how do I set my DC in site A to replicate
my DC in site B?

When I run dcdiag, I get these errors:

Starting test: KccEvent

A warning event occurred. EventID: 0x80000785

            Time Generated: 05/09/2011 16:03:19

            Event String:

The attempt to establish a replication link for the
following writable directory partition failed.

Starting test: NetLogons

Unable to connect to the NETLOGON share! (\\DC1\netlogon)

[DC1] An net use or LsaPolicy operation failed with error 67,

The network name cannot be found..

         .........................DC1 failed test NetLogons

In Event log I get of DC1 in Site A:

The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from
DC2 (site b) toDC1 (site a) for c:\windows\sysvol\domain using the DNS
name DC2.tci.corp. FRS will keep retrying.

Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.

[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name SAC-DC3.tci.corp from
this computer. (I can resolve DNS)

[2] FRS is not running on SAC-DC3.tci.corp. (FRS is running)

[3] The topology information in the Active Directory Domain Services
for this replica has not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.
(Has replicated)

This event log message will appear once per connection, After the
problem is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that
the connection has been established.

Subject: replication issues between 2 sites

Hi All,

I just added a W2K8 DC to site A. When I look at Sites and Services for
site A, I see a connection object automatically generated by KCC. It is
pointing to my original W2K3 server, that is now offline and will be
demoted in site A. I want my W2K8 DC to replicate from a DC in site B
so I created a manual connection from my W2k8 DC in Site A to my W2k8 DC
in Site B.

For some reason this breaks replication and my sysvol folder is not
updated in Site A. When I right click on the NTDS settings on my W2k8
DC in Site A, I don't get the "Replicate configuration from/to the
selected DC. Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks for your help!

Jimmy
