We were in the same boat last year. We ended up virtualizing the servers, 
and then upgrading them to Windows Server 2003 and testing.  That is not a 
supported configuration from the vendor, but we decided that was the 
lesser of the 2 evils. So far no issues.

Subject:        Windows 2000 machines on your network



How big of  deal would it be to you guys if you re-realized you have 4 
Windows 2000 servers on your network – not file/print, but stuff that 
supports the phone system. I see big security hole, but not sure how hard 
to pitch “we really need to get those off our wire”.
