Really? Im not sure i follow sorry. Taking an sRGB and converting to linear is a just an inverted gamma thing right?
once in linear you can do whatever you want - and then finally view it as filmsRGB is you so require... ive got 2 instances of nuke running - one in standard nuke sRGB lut and the other with an ACES set up - and there is no difference goign from sRGB to linear and back again. in the aces set up i have an OCIO colorspace node with input set to vd10, output to linear - bringing me to linear space - then another OCIO colorspace node : input linear out put vd10 - taking me back to sRGB i have noticed that Log toLin in aces is brighter - i prefer actually.
