So frustrated by the “seeming” inability of major “Color” labs, Technicolor,
Deluxe etc, etc - to consistently convert
Sony F65/F55 originated material to a consistent “correct” DPX file to their
3rd party vendors.

Many houses insist on embedding metadata that set’s "dpx/transfer” metadata
flag to sRGB or rec709 which as far as I know is completely wrong and looks
wrong ?

The other day we had to request GB’s of data to be repulled since the “major
name” color house insisted that they normally txfer too dpx as “linear” and
still flagged it as sRGB in metadata.

Am I just catching up to this ?

Is this a new problem in the past few years or is this my “Duh - where have you
been moment” ?

How are other people handling this ?

Any input appreciated.

Thx
