Hi Gari, I am on OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and with the help of Marek and Scott, I was able to get NuPIC built using both gcc 4.2 and 4.7 and Python 2.6. Look thru the archives at a thread called "Building in OS X 10.6.8". Let me know if you have any issues. It did take a little hacking to get it to build, so let me know where you get stuck and I'll try to get you thru it.
